Getting ready for tiling next week. Plumbers holes are starting to get filled in.

Lights, heat .. action!

The plumbers have been very busy. Heat is now working and the towel rails are in place except where they are waiting on the tilers.

Got the ESB connected a week ago and this week the electricians hooked up all the lights and plug sockets - now I have no excuse for not painting in the evenings!


Also got the retaining wall built a couple of weeks ago, so we will be back filling next week and hope to get rid of our mountains of large rocks!

Painting ...

Oh the joys of painting ... does everything really need 3 coats???? ahhhhh.....

Radiators going in

The radiators are being installed. Waiting on the ESB to hook us up and once that happens we should have heat around the house then.

Then will come the fun part of painting the whole house!!

Plastering finished!!!!!!

Finally finished the plastering!! Yippee - playroom and study were the last to be completed.

Septic Tanks

Plastered again ...

The front of the house is getting finished off - with the porch being plastered and the flat roof getting done.
The attic above and below - good space for storage and the "adult playroom" - and before I get any smart comments, I mean dart board and pool table.

Walk in wardrobe - and the board on the right is covering the laundry shute to utility.

The hall was plastered this week. Gone is my lovely temporary stairs and we are back to up and down a ladder.

Scaffolding finally being removed - starting to see the face of the house!
Some interesting things turning up at site - these are for the septic tank and percolation.



Water and electricity have been run across our front "lawn".

Hive of activity this week. Guttering started, plumbers, electricians, site services and plasterers among others all on site.

Plasterers have finished the coat on the dry lining and started the other block walls indoors.

Soffit and fascia now in place - scaffolding will be coming down this week and we will finally have a look at how our "face" will look!

Water mains - have to get a new meter.

Started the hole for the sewerage tank.

Hole under the 12ft high old wall - thankfully nothing happened the wall!!

After the weather ....

We have had some fun with the weather delays - the frost has finally finished ( fingers crossed) and we can get on with the plastering.

Play room - finally dry!!

Ridge tiles finally going on - couldn't put them on during the frost and the last bit of tiling is finished over the play room. Now only the front porch to finish and the whole house will be sealed.
Plumbers have been in digging up loads of holes to find their pipes for the rads.

Our study with its jumble of network cables in the corner - going to be fun to sort out!!!

Kitchen roof is now plastered and the walls have been dry lined. Starting to see the final room!!
