Plastered ...

Scratch coat on the outside is 90% complete (rain seriously hampering plasterers). Roof is finished bar the ridge tiles. Plasterers are keeping themselves busy indoors in this horrible weather drylining upstairs and have all the insulated plasterboard on the ceilings upstairs. They have managed a couple of the window reveals ( if thats the right term) outside at the back.

Roof

Progress has really been hampered in the past while with all the rainfall and storms.

Some of the slabbing has started, but it still limited as to where it can go as the house is not fully watertight yet. First fix electrics has been done in the rooms upstairs.

Plastering of the chimneys has finally started, so the roofers can slate more.

Roof ongoing

So much happening at the moment. Windows have been prepared and protected for the plastering. The slates have arrived and they are starting to put them up this week. The bases for the solar panels have been installed. The insulation is going in the attic and the walls have been chased for the electricians arrival tomorrow.

Windows

The windows and french doors went in last Friday - don't have any photos yet as the weather is so crap - hopefully will have some up later this week.

Roof starting

Scaffolding is up and the roof has started. Windows are due this Friday - can't wait - nothing for a couple of weeks and now a week of great action!!

Front porch arch finished

Front porch arch finished as has the chimney above. Blockwork is now complete - have to decide on our windows now and get ready for first fix electrics. So many decisions and I am sure so many mistakes will be made :-)

First floor screed

Not a lot to see - but the first floor screed was poured today and power floated ( if thats the correct term) to get it level. Good to see some activity again on site. Hopefully blocks will start again next week.

All looks a bit of a mess at the moment - just hope all the pipes end up in the right places!!

Concrete first floor installation

First truck wasn't able to make its way down due to the narrow roads. Thankfully the smaller truck and the crane were able to!!

Waiting on First floor

Window cills have gone in. Just waiting now for the concrete first floor to be delivered - was measured yesterday, so will be another week or two before there is any changes to the build.

Front window in the sitting room - should let lots of light in .. just need to find a good window cleaner!
